One Drawer Organizer

Hi Everyone
I found a gem online this weekend while I was cruising the net.
This is called a One Drawer Organizer. I am so all about this little project.
This tutorial can be found at Creations by AR. It is a paid tutorial. The cost of the tutorial was $4.95 USD.

The instructions were very informative and clear. Always a must in a paid tutorial.
What I think is super great about this is that it will hold A2 cards. In one of the photos I've included an A2 card on the top and in the drawer to give you the perspective.

What I also thought was wonderful was that my Island girl friends I see swapping images and goodies for RAKs and I thought you'd love this project to shake up your RAKS and send something new and different.

From a supply perceptive it didn't take a lot of supplies. It does require 5 sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock and just 1 sheet of decorative paper. I also used a 1" circle punch for the drawer instead of adding a brad or ribbon for the drawer pull. For the feet I used some jumbo half pearls. You could use some half wood beads or really any type of bead that had a flat surface.

This did take me a bit of time to create the first time. I don't like printing patterns onto card stock which is how this tutorial is set up so I always print it out and them use a ruler to measure out the dimensions. So that took some time. Once I got everything cut out and scored it didn't take that much time at all. The second once I made (not pictured) didn't take nearly as long.

I really think you'll love this project. Give Adela a visit.

Thanks for your visit and Have fun with this project.
Hugs

Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone
I was checking out SCS and ran across a gift card holder that I haven't had a chance to create. There are a lot of different gift card holders out there but I thought this one was a lot of fun to create and really easy.
Step 1: cut card stock to 5 1/2" x 4"
Step 2: score at 2 1/2" and 5"
Step 3: cut card stock to 11" x 3/4"
Step 4: If you are using a solid card stock add your stamped images.
Step 5: Add adhesive (I've used sticky strip) to the 1/2" section (when you scored at 5" this left you a section that was 1/2" this is where the sticky strip is placed)
Step 6: Punch out a section for the 11" x 3/4" strip to go through. I've use the word window punch from Stampin Up but you could use any oval punch.
Step 7: Thread the 11" x 3/4" strip of cards stock through the punched hole.
The gift card is placed between the strip.
Step 8: Adhere the top of the 11" x 3/4 strip.
Here is a link to a picture tutorial that I found for this type of gift card.
Have fun and thanks so much for your visit.

Post-it Note Holder

Hi Everyone
Just a quick post-it note holder.
Supplies:
CS: 7 1/2" x 3 1/3"
DSP: 3 x 2 3/4", 3 x 2 1/4" , 3 x 1"
Velcro dot and accessories for closure.
Step 1: Take 7 1/2 x 3 1/3" card stock and score at 2 1/2", 2 3/4", 5 3/4" and 6.
Step 2: Glue on DPS
Step 3: Adhere your closure (I've used scallops, flowers or just ribbon)
Step 4: Adhere Velcro dot
These are super fast. If you use an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of CS you can get three out of 1 sheet.
I went to the Big Lots store and picked up a stack of 5 post it notes for $1.
Give it a try. Thanks for your visit.

Gift Tag Box

Hi Everyone
There is a cute gift tag box on page 14 of the Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 catalog that I've been wanting to try out. I'm so lazy when it comes to sitting down and working up dimensions for project so my first step is usually to do a google search and see if I can find a patter that is already out in blog land.
Well I've found such a blog and WOW how happy I was not only to find this project but the great blog that it was on.
This is pretty straight forward and was really easy to follow and up together. The biggest pain I thought about this project was trying to tie the silver cord.
You can find the pattern on Valerie's blog HERE.
The only alteration I made on the box was that I used a sheet protector instead of a window sheet. A sheet protector is much thinner but I didn't have any trouble with using it and it's a whole lot cheaper than a window sheet.
The stamps I used are all from SU! with SU punches.
Have fun giving it a try.
Thanks for visiting.

Post it Note Key Chain

Hi Everyone
This is a great idea that I'm just now getting around to making.
This is the Post it Note Key chain. Angie Kennedy Juda is my upline (ChicnScratch) and she always have such great video tutorials. You can check out Angie's video HERE.
The idea is very simple. You need a small post it note pad. One pad will make three key chains. The ring I've used is a binder ring. You will want to cut your card stock to 3 1/4" x 2". Score at 1 9/16" and 1 11/16".
I've used the scallop punch from Stampin' Up! and the 1 1/2" circle punch.
For the H initial I've used the Special Occasion complete font set from JustRite. The scallop circle stamp is from Elle's Studio and it's from the Whale of a Time stamp set. I originally bought this stamp set for the scallop circle stamp. I've always loved the SU scallop punch and all the other circle you can layer it with. I thought this stamp just added that much more to the idea of the scallop punch and layers.
The cardstock, ink and ribbon are all from SU's new In Color Melon Mambo.
Give it a try I think you'll like making this quick project. I was thinking that these would be great to give if your kids are having a party or something. I can just see one of these handing off a kids school backpack or something.
Thanks for your visit.
Have a super day!

Desk Top Organizer

Hi Everyone
I've been busy crafting for my first every fair this fall. I'm excited, scared and working frantically go get ideas for the fair. It's going to be in a very very small town which is why I decided to just go for it, but it doesn't make it any less scary. :-{
I've been working on making some of the desk top organizers from Papertrey. This are very quick things to make in mass I think. You can find the template HERE over at Papertrey.
The holders I made will hold a A2 size card. I think what I'll do is create some notepads to place inside the holder then add some ribbon around the note pad and stamp a few of the pages with a little "Just a Note" saying.
This is a great gift idea too. It could be personalized so easily.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

Multi-Functioning Box

Hi Everyone
I wanted to share some of the helpful hints I used when creating this box. I purchased the template from Becky over at Inking Idaho.
For the most part the template is pretty straight forward. Box top and box bottom. Make sure that when you cut out the center that you are very accurate to insure your opening is accurate.
I had a family member ask for some simple note cards that she could mail without any extra postage. I checked out Joy's blog and found a great example and decided to case the concept. HERE is Joy's project that inspired me.
I found this great paper from a paper pack from Michael's and used the Baja Blue and Riding Hood Red cardstock from Stampin' Up!
If you are looking for something to give as a gift with cards or a post it note holder or notebook this would be a great project for you.
Check out Michelle's project HERE and some more of Joy's HERE and HERE and HERE. Their work has really inspired me. I can't wait to make some more of these.
Thanks for visiting,

Fly Free

Hi Everyone
I ran across the cutest Crayon Box over of SCS a few weeks ago and through it was such a great idea because of all the things you could put in it. Courtney over at Created By Courtney has a great and super easy tutorial on how she created the crayon box. You can find the link to the tutorial HERE.
This is a pretty quick project...(my favorite type of projects) and one that I thought you might enjoy as well.
I've used Copic to color in the Leanne Ellis, Fly Free stamp that you can find at Sugar Nellie.
I've also taken a picture with a spool or ribbon in it so you could be a sense of the size. You could make some cards and put them in here or add a altered post-it not or some other fabulous gift.
Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for your visit.

A Gift Worth Giving

Hi Everyone
Here is a super quick gift card holder that great to create when you are in a pinch and need a lot of gift cards.
I've used the super cute Sing from The Greeting Farm's Hope and Grace line.
She's so cute. Can't you here her singing that special song to the recipient?
Here are the instructions:
Step 1 - Cut a piece of card stock 8.5" x 6"
Step 2 - Score 8 1/2" side of paper at 3" and 6"
Step 3 - If you want to create decorative panels my recommendation is to do it at this step while the piece is still flat.
Step 4. Using a word window punch or any type of punch make a notch on the shortest panel. This helps to pull the gift card out.
Step 5. On the shortest panel (the one you just punch a notch out of) glue down the sides. Keep
in mind where you glue. You want to make sure you have enough room for the gift card.
Step 6 - Decorate and embellish!
Hope you find this helpful. I know there are a ton of gift card ideas but in a pinch this is my go to template.
Thanks for your visit.

A Bundle of Joy

Hi Eveyone
I've never had any close friends that have had any babies as of late so I was thrilled when a friend of mine told me she was hosting her neices baby shower. I was so excited until I realized I really didn't have any baby stamps or any idea's for shower favors in my toolbox of craft patterns.
So I went over to SCS and searched in the gallery for Baby and I ran across this cute carriage.
Susie over at Berker blog has a great and easy tutorial on how to make this.
In short the base is made from a box pattern that starts out at 4" x 5" and scored on all four sides at 1". The inside is also make from a box pattern is made from a 3 15/16" x 4 15/16" and scored on all four sides at 1". I ran this paper through a big shot with the Swiss Dots Cuttlbug folder. The wheels I made using the Stampin' Up scallop circle and the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle. To make the hood I used the largest scallop circle nestie that I had and cut it in half. I attached this using some flower brads.
I think you'll love this project. When I showed my friend she was over the moon about it.
Give it a try.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Drink Carrier

Hi Everyone
This is my first post of many on my new Fun Paper Candy Demo blog. My goal for this blog is to showcase demo's of 3D projects and maybe a few techniques along the way. I'm always searching the web for cute boxes, bags, organizational tools that can be made from cardstock.

I will always showcase the work on my Fun Paper Candy Demo blog but you can come here to get the details on how to create it yourself. I will either provide video and picture tutorials myself or I'll include links to the sites that have video or written tutorials.
How does that sound? I'm looking forward to it as I have done project in the past and lost the directions on how to create them. I'm hopeful that this site will help as my one stop shop for 3-D ideas.
For the kick-off project I decided to do the Mini Drink Carrier that Denise over at Denise Loves Stamps created and blogged about back in March. You can check out Densises Tutorial HERE
This is a super cute holder that I use to store the Stickles I use most often in and have on my art desk.
I've been neglecting my Stampin'Up! stuff so I decided to create it with all SU! materials.
For the base of the project I've used a piece of Textured Pacific Point cardstock. The panels are made of Summer Sun and the DSP Morning Sunshine. The little bird on the front is from the Cheep Talk stamp set.

The supplies I've used is the slot punch to make the handles, the scallop punch, 1 3/4 and 1 1/4 circle punch. I also used sticky strip to put it together.
The dimensions for the holder itself are pictured here. Again you can visit Denise's blog for pictures that will walk you through the assembly.

The dimensions I used for my front and side panels are:
Front Panel card stock - 3 7/8" x 1 7/8"
Front Panel DSP - 3 3/4" x 1 3/4"
Short side panel card stock - 2 7/8" x 1 7/8"
Short side panel DPS - 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"
Give it a try.
Thanks for stopping in.
